There's a bit of a joke in our house that when I get home from a wedding, no matter how long a day it's been, or how far I've travelled, when my husband asks me how it went I always reply 'It was lovely'. So I had a look for some alternative adjectives. I'll probably still stick to lovely!

2024 has been an amazing year for me and my photography, with 26 weddings spread from Tiree to Mid-Wales, in Castles, Beaches, Gardens, Fields, Hotels, an Arts Centre, Churches & a very special Abbey.

I've also photographed my first christening, a Golden Wedding, a Ruby Wedding and a 70th Birthday.

Every single time I take photographs for someone it is special. How lucky I am to have found my dream job.

'I hate getting my photo taken and generally don't like photos of myself, so I was a bit concerned about wedding photos as obviously the camera would be pointing at me a lot and I couldn't trick myself into thinking it was pointing at someone else!

Mairi was absolutely fantastic though - she was really unobtrusive during the ceremony but still managed to get some fantastic shots. Afterwards she really relaxed us and we had so much fun visiting a few places around the village to get some photos.

We absolutely love our wedding photos and now have a new problem - how to decide which ones to frame, as there's so many that we just love. Mairi's knowledge of the local area and where to go for some different photos was a real bonus too. We would highly recommend her! '
